Scryware is an independent software studio run by Kevin Gillum — a systems engineer with 20+ years of experience building and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps businesses running, from retail point-of-sale networks to enterprise IT.
After two decades of enterprise IT — keeping thousands of systems healthy, secure, and compliant — the pattern was hard to ignore: the tools professionals rely on are either powerful but miserable, or pleasant but toys. ScryWare, the flagship product, grew directly out of that work: the monitoring and self-healing platform Kevin always wanted on his own networks, built for the MSPs and small businesses living the same reality.
The consumer apps came from the same instinct applied to everyday life — look at what people actually complain about, then build the straightforward thing they're asking for.
Technology should enhance our lives — and make the unbelievable believable. It should give agency to the people who need it, from the enterprise running a hundred client networks down to a single person trying to get through the day.
Software shouldn't be a machine for getting rich off nickel-and-diming, scummy practices, shame tactics, or exploiting people's addictions and fears. The premise here is genuine help: build what people say they need, not what I think they need.
